The Hunger Games si gode un suo piccolo trionfo in questa edizione deo People’s Choice Awards. I teen agers orfani di Twilight hanno visto nell’interessante film di Gary Ross un possibile erede. Anche se, bisogna ammetterlo, The Hunger games, nella sua non troppo nascosta critica al mondo del Reality televisivo sfugge non poco alle derive romantiche delle storie di Vampiri, licantropi e prime volte da consumarsi solo ed esclusivamente dopo il fatidico sì. Il film ha, così, conquistato sei premi: Film preferito, Film d’azione preferito, Franchise preferito, Miglior chimica tra attori (Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson e Liam Hemsworth: capiamo i primi due, ma il terzo incomodo che c’entra?), Face of Heroism (Jennifer Lawrence), e di nuovo Jennifer Lawrence (Miglior attrice).
Robert Downey Jr conferma il suo alto indice di gradimento presso il pubblico grazie al cinismo un po’ spaccone del suo supereroe dei fumetti. Mentre Zac Efron è, secondo i votanti, l’attore drammatico preferibile. Il Film drammatico più amato è stato The Perks of being a Wallflower (da noi uscirà chissà quando con il titolo Noi siamo infinito) che è valso un riconoscimento anche a Emma Watson.
Il versante televisivo vede conferme di gradimento per The walking dead, The Big Bang Theory, Grey’s anatomy e i vampiri di True Blood. Il soprannaturale ha sempre la meglio.
Curioso il fatto che, per le categorie musicali, il favoritissimo Justin Bieber non abbia preso nessun premio sulle sue cinque nominations. Segno che il suo astro si stia avviando al tramonto? A prendere il suo posto negli onori dei ragazzi sono gli inglesi One direction.
